Profile

James F. Bauerle is Director of Legal and Business Services of Keevican Weiss & Bauerle LLC. He focuses his practice in the areas of banking, bank regulatory, real estate and the real estate aspects of natural resources law. He chairs the firm’s Banking and Bank Regulatory Practice. He is admitted to practice and regularly serves clients in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

During his 35 year career, he has played a leading role in a number of innovative projects, including the following:

Mr. Bauerle is a contributing editor of The Banking Law Journal and publishes Bauerles Financial Futures, a newsletter for the banking industry and those who follow it. His contributions to those publications may be viewed on the firm’s blogs.

Through the firm’s bank consulting affiliate, FiCap Strategic Partners, LLC, Mr. Bauerle has guided banks through acquisitions and mergers, turnarounds, divestitures and capital markets transactions. His work on those projects has been used by federal and state regulatory authorities, including as case studies they present to train bank examiners.

Mr. Bauerle has served as a director or executive officer of companies in the banking, insurance and equipment leasing businesses.

In the community, Mr. Bauerle served as board chair for Three Rivers Employment Service, Inc., a nonprofit agency that assisted underemployed and unemployed young persons in their efforts to secure jobs with a future. He also served Calvary Episcopal Church, Western Pennsylvania’s largest Episcopal congregation, in multiple lay leadership roles.
